When several batches of an item are available, MedManthra can suggest stock using FEFO—First Expiry, First Out. Staff can see the batch and expiry information before adding the item, helping the pharmacy move suitable older stock first and avoid selecting expired inventory.

FEFO is a working aid, not a substitute for pharmacist review. Your team still controls what is dispensed. The advantage is that the relevant stock information is visible during the sale, rather than buried in a separate inventory report discovered after the shift.

For medicines that require additional prescription handling, the billing flow includes Schedule H/H1 prompts and prescription upload support. MedManthra also provides a Schedule H/H1 register so the pharmacy can keep relevant sale records organised and available for review.

The software supports the workflow and record preparation; the pharmacy remains responsible for verifying prescriptions, maintaining licences, following applicable drug rules, and ensuring that authorised staff dispense medicines correctly.
